BMW low temperature weather tires are marked with a specific snowflake symbol on the side and a BMW star sign. The M + s symbol (mud and snow) alone is not enough to indicate that the tire is a low-temperature weather tire, and this symbol is also available on some non winter tires. A tire with BMW asterisk indicates that the tire has been specially adjusted for BMW models and their chassis (including ABS, DSC and other control systems), so it will not produce more noise or jitter.
